Going Up (Sept/Oct 2023 Update)
As we are closing in on the end of this year, it seems that we are just going up more and more in quality. Not just us, but the kids, too. Our programs have been going up in quality, and the kids have been going up in their walk with Jesus!!
At Saturday Kids Church, we've been teaching the kids more in-depth about the Holy Spirit: who He is, what He does in us, and how He helps us every day. Many of the kids are responsive to our lessons, and you can see a true receptiveness in them through their character. We will be finishing up this series at the end of this month with a lesson about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, so please be praying for true understanding for the kids and for God and His Holy Spirit to flow through us and speak His Word, bringing a baptism of the Holy Spirit to His kids! Also, the last day of this month is our Candy Carnival, where we will be having carnival games for the kids to play and win candy! This will be a huge event for the kids to invite their friends and classmates to come and see what our Kids Church is all about and see who Jesus and the Holy Spirit really are. Please pray for a huge turnout and for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit over these kids!
I want to give a special shout-out to the Saturday Kids Church volunteers who give up their Saturday mornings to minister to these amazing kids: Ivan, Geni, Karen, Abigail (all pictured left to right), Sammy, Samuel, Jasiel, Ale, Sam, and Leonardo. They have made the quality of our Saturday Kids Church become so much greater, and Kids Church wouldn't be what it is now without them! Please keep them in your prayers as they continue to serve these precious kids for Jesus: for wisdom, patience, blessings, and and overflow of God's love and the Holy Spirit!
Christmas is coming up, and we are once again doing Operation: Christmas Gift! If you are able to bless a child this Christmas with a gift they wouldn't normally receive that they would love to have, click here to see the list of gifts! All gifts have been personally picked out by the kids. So please check out the list and purchase a gift no later than December 3rd!
I do want to thank all of you who have already purchased a gift or several gifts for the kids! We already have more than half of the gifts purchased! Praise and thanks be to God for all of you!
I myself will be finishing Theological Seminary December 12th! It's been a long 4 years, but I'm finally at the end of it. Thank you all for your prayers and support during this time, and please pray for me and all of my 4th year classmates that we finish out strong! Also, I have plans on moving in December to a better apartment down the street. This one will have better accommodations such as a place to park my car safely and an actual kitchen to store dishes and A/C. Due to the nicer accommodations, the apartment does cost more per month (possibly close to double to what I'm paying now). I wouldn't be considering it if I could park my car safely at my current apartment, but for that alone is why I have been considering moving for a while now. I currently pay $200 for rent a month, but this new apartment will be around $300-$400 a month, and it would really stretch my budget.
