Grateful (Nov/Dec 2023 Update)
As 2023 came to a close, there was still a lot to be done. Not only were we able to complete the year on a high note, many more things have happened for me to be extremely grateful for.
I'm so grateful for the team that God has given me for our Saturday Kids church! They have been so awesome in helping with teaching lessons, bringing new ideas, and also even being able to split our Saturday Kids Church into Saturday Kids AND Teens church, with two separate services happening simultaneously! They have been such a blessing, and I know I wouldn't have been able to finish out the year strong if it wasn't for them. We ended November with a Candy Fair and had around 30-40 kids show up! We ended the year with an average 25 kids and teens every Saturday, and we're looking to go up even more! God has truly blessed me with an amazing volunteer team!
I'm so grateful for all of you who sponsored kids for Christmas! It was such a blessing to see the kids' faces light up when they saw that they got the gift they asked for, and that is all thanks to you. Every single kid was able to get a gift this year. Thank you so much again!
I'm so grateful to God for the amazing woman and three awesome kids He put in my life. Abigail, my girlfriend, has been such an amazing support in everything in the ministry and also personally, and I am grateful times infinity to God for her. It's also been so great (and a challenge, haha) being that father-figure for Juanito, Meredith, and Alexis. Being able to be there for them in their highs and lows almost every day is honestly an amazing experience and is something I've also been praying for a long time now. The coolest thing to see is when I teach them something about Jesus or every day life and seeing them truly get it and put it into practice. I truly am the happiest man in the world and cannot thank God enough for Abigail and her three phenomenal kids. Please pray for all five of us as we navigate the changes we need to make due to stepping towards being a family: wisdom, finances, peace, love, and more and more of the Holy Spirit!
In a few weeks, I will be moving into a slightly bigger place! I've been struggling for a while now with the current place I live due to not having safe parking for my car and having to park it a block away at someone else's house. Now I will be able to safely park my car at my place, and I now have more room for a family in the future! Unfortunately, rent here in Tijuana has skyrocketed, and I will have to pay double what I'm currently paying. I'm currently working two side jobs, but it still isn't enough. If you would be willing to donate monthly to help us with this expense, you can do so by clicking here and donating through PayPal. You can also donate through Zelle (which is honestly a much better option as Zelle doesn't take out fees like PayPal does. If you would like to donate through Zelle, please contact me for information).
More than anything, I am so incredibly grateful for all of you. There will never be enough words to express how truly grateful I am for all of you and the generosity you all have shared with me throughout the years. God has done so many miracles and changed so many lives here in Tijuana, and it honestly is all thanks to you. I wouldn't be able to minister to these kids and families every single day if it wasn't for your generous donations that you all send, and it leaves me speechless every time I think about it. Thank you so much everyone from Grace Christian Church, Home Church Langley, Grace Community Church in Canada, and everyone else who has supported Operation Worth. May God truly bless you all overabundantly. Let's continue to walk together in faith, believing for more miracles and more lives changed in 2024!
"How I praise the Lord that you are concerned about me again. I know you have always been concerned for me, but you didn’t have the chance to help me. Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Even so, you have done well to share with me in my present difficulty." - Philippians 4:10-14
