Big Moves (Feb/Mar 2025 Update)

If I could count all of the times when God has proven faithful to us, I wouldn't be able to. I've lost count. These past couple months, He's done it again. God has been making some big moves in our ministry and in our lives, and we can't thank God enough.
For our Saturday Kids Church, we've amped up our services with different dynamics and activities! We're now doing 3 separate classes for our kids: PreK-1st grade, Discipleship (2nd-7th), and Advanced (2nd-7th who've already passed Discipleship). We're doing a different series every two months for our Advanced class, and these past two months we talked about "leveling up" with God and what that entails. We talked about several of the promises of God (provision, Fatherly love, without fear, purpose, healing) and taught the kids that we need to believe that God will come through with what He says, and that's how we can get to the next level with God. Please pray that these kids don't forget these important lessons, and that they continue to seek God out on their own with all of their hearts. Also pray for our teachers to be able to be more consistent and that nothing gets in their way so that they can serve.

For our soccer team, we pick up quite a few of our kids for practice and for our games early Saturday morning. A lot of our kids need rides, so there were several Saturday mornings where we spent around 45 minutes just picking up the kids before our soccer game. In February, my wife, Abigail, had said, "Why don't we pick up the kids that live farther away on Friday after school, and they can stay the night with us so that we don't have to spend so much time picking up kids Saturday morning?" I thought that was a good idea, so we started picking up three kids on Friday evenings, which has now turned into six. More than just saving time on picking up kids, most of these kids don't have the best home life. When we'd go to pick some of them up in the morning for our soccer game, they were still sleeping because no one in their family had woken them up, or they would come with no breakfast or without a coat because their parents/family members weren't even awake yet to make sure their kid went safely and properly to soccer. Apart from that, several of these kids have a lack of role models in their home. Some of them are even out on the streets until late hours into the night, doing things that aren't very beneficial for them. We're doing our best to give them a safe and loving place to stay, at least on the weekends, so that they can not only just go to soccer, but so that they can feel loved and accepted. Through this, we've kind of started one of our dreams: a safe home for kids and teens, although . Please pray for us, as we take on this challenge to help these at-risk kids and teens, that God supplies us with the finances for food and clothing (yes, some of them need new/more clothes, and we've already helped one of them with a new set of clothes!) and also for wisdom to be able to help teach and raise these kids the right way the short time they are with us during the week. Also, please pray for us to get a bigger house! We currently have plans to buy some land and build a big house on it, not only for our family, but for this project of a safe home for kids and teens. If you want to help us fund this project, you can do so by clicking here.

After almost 5 years with our Suburban, it had seen its last days. We now have a Toyota Sequoia, our new ministry vehicle that is in great conditions and is built to last! A huge and special thanks to Pastor Jerry and Joy Weinzierl and all of Grace Christian Church, and to Von & On for the generous and quick support to help us get a new ministry vehicle!
A huge and special thank you to Home Church Langley, Grace Community Church, and North Ridge Church in British Columbia, Canada for opening your doors once again for me to come and present about all that we do here in Tijuana! It was such a blessing to be able to preach at Grace Community Church and present at all of your churches. May God's blessings overflow on you all!
Keep our family in your prayers, as we're still adjusting to being a family of 5 in ministry and are searching for the balance between the two. Pray that God gives us clear direction and wisdom in every step we take, every decision we make, every lesson we write, and every word we give in ministry and outside of ministry. Pray for God's peace over our lives and over the lives of every family we serve. We cannot stop thanking God for all of what you all do for us!

"Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now." - Philippians 1:3-5
