Reaching Out (Oct-Dec 2025 Update)

God's called us to GO and make disciples. This may look different for everyone, but for us, it means going out into the communities surrounding us and reaching the ones we haven't reached yet.
We were invited back in October by the Assemblies of God churches here in Tijuana to help with an event in a park to reach out to the kids there! It was an honor to be able to share with the kids there how "For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven." (Ecclesiastes 3:1) This day and age, every kid is playing video games or on their tablets or phones. We taught them that, although those things aren't bad, we need to realize that God is first, and we need to include Him in what we do. He gives us time to be able to do everything we want to do, so why not spend a little of that time with Him first? We are so thankful for the opportunity to be able to be chosen for special events like this, and we pray that we can be chosen in the future to bless the kids around our community!
We're still going strong with our Saturday Kids Church! We've been teaching the kids a discipleship program from The Samaritan's Purse, helping them understand what it truly means to follow Jesus! Not only do we want them to understand it, but we are teaching them to share it with others! We've also been giving prizes away to those who bring new friends so that the new friends can also learn what it truly means to follow Jesus and realize that it's the best decision they can ever make!
We are currently in need of arts and crafts supplies and little "dollar store" toys and bigger toys for our toy store at Kids Church. If anyone can help us with that, you can send items to the following address:
Daniel Ratz 650 Dennery Rd. Unit 530284 Suite 102 San Diego, CA 92153
Some ideas for bigger toys are: soccer balls, Hot Wheels tracks, baby dolls, Lego sets, LOL dolls, bracelet-making kits, and Nerf guns. Also, we can take any old video game system you don't use anymore and use it as a prize for the kids! Any old Nintendo DS or tablets or Nintendo Wii's or anything of the like you have lying around, we would love to use as prizes in our toy store! If you like, we also give tax-deduction receipts for your toy donations! Thank you so much for your consideration!

We've also been teaching the middle schoolers how to serve, and they've been using their talents by teaching the kids in class, leading activity time, and also cooking in the kitchen!

We were also invited to be a part of another outreach in December, where, together with City Reach Church and our home church Bethlem, we helped another church in the Assemblies of God churches reach out to their community! We ran the kids portion of it, where we did Crazy Games and praise songs with the kids! City Reach Church also helped provide toys, clothes, and even pizza to give away! We were able to reach around 60 people at this event, and we're getting ready for the next one on February 21! Keep us in your prayers, that we can continue to reach the rest of Tijuana with the unfailing love of God that they so desperately need. It's by His love that we can actually feel complete and whole ♥
We had a special Christmas party with our middle schoolers, where we had pizza and snacks, and a huge Christmas competition, where the winner would receive $50! Between the gingerbread house build, creative gift wrapping, and the crazy photo hunt, the teens had a great time being able to just hang out with each other. It's something that I've been seeing that is so necessary for them: just to have a place where they can just be them and have fun. So many churches here in Tijuana don't give middle schoolers the place that they deserve, and they always get thrown in with the elementary kids or even with college-aged kids, and that's not right. Please pray for us, as it's been pretty difficult to focus on another age group and do ministry for them, and at the same time, minister to elementary school-age kids. It may not seem like it, but it does take a lot out of someone when they have to see how to tailor to two completely different age groups. Please pray that we find more help with the teens and possibly even find some people to take it over.
We had the very scarce opportunity to go into one of the hospitals here in Tijuana and give gifts to the kids who were staying in the hospital for certain health conditions. Abigail, along with a team of doctors, were able to bless the kids with gifts we were able to collect from some very generous donors. Being able to visit a hospital here in Tijuana without knowing a patient is very, very difficult and hardly ever heard of. To be able to do something like this is not only a huge blessing to the kids, but also to the parents we're able to reach through this. A huge thank you to Von&On for their donation of toys for this event!
We cannot thank you all enough for your support that you have given us during 2025. It's only thanks to God and to you all that we can keep going and do what God's called us to do.
We have so much more on our hearts to do for this 2026 year, but we are still need of more support to do it all. We've had to cut back on the funds for Kids Church, the soccer team, and even for our own food budget just to be able to keep all of our programs running. We can't sponsor as many kids as we used to for soccer now, and our budget for toys and supplies for Kids Church is now gone (we only have enough money for lunch for the kids on Saturdays now). If you are able to help us financially every month with whatever you're able to donate, please click here. We truly cannot thank God enough for you and the impact you make to help us reach the forgotten here in Tijuana.

"How we thank God for you! Because of you we have great joy as we enter God’s presence." - 1 Thessalonians 3:9
