A Big Start To A Big Year (Jan/Feb 2020 Update)

Wow, this new year has been jam-packed with stuff, and we're just getting started! God has been moving so much, it's crazy!

Our Saturday Kids Church has been going strong, with an average of 25 kids every Saturday! We just had our Candy Fair, and the kids loved it! Through all of the fun and games, the kids have been learning

about how special and unique each one of them is and how we need to be responsible with the talents and abilities that God has given us. We need to show others the love of God through everything we do!

The Secret Agents of Christ Club is going strong, as we've had 3 new members added to the group! The kids are finishing up on what the salvation message is all about and how to share that with their friends! The kids are also learning how to personally seek out God and why it is so important to spend time with Him. You're never too young to hear God's voice!

Along with taking Ricardo to school (for those of you who don't know about Ricardo, feel free to ask!), I've been volunteering in class to help some of the other kids who are behind. One of those kids, Victor, has more than just a school problem. His family life is full of abuse and drugs, his father is barely in the picture, and his mom is rarely home. He, his older sister, and baby brother stay with their grandma some of the time, but they're mostly left at home by themselves. I've done my best by inviting the kids to church, to our discipleship program, and our soccer team, and through these things I've been able to instill values and show them the worth they have in Jesus Christ. Please continue to pray with me for Victor, Maritza, their baby brother, and for their whole family to truly see, grow, and walk in the worth and love they only have in Jesus Christ.

This past month, many people came together to help the ministry get a new car! The vehicle that I'm currently using is in its last days, and we needed something more reliable to be able to bring the kids to and from all that we do. Through the so much generous support from Grace Christian Church and other friends and family, we were able to raise $4,833.69! The kids and I cannot thank you all enough for what you've done. Once I purchase a vehicle, I'll be sure to share a photo for you guys to see!

God has honestly been blowing our socks off these past two months, and I know that this is only the beginning of all that God has in store for us this year!

"Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved." - Psalms 55:22
