Huge Steps (Oct-Dec 2018 Update)
Wow, these last two and a half months have been incredible, full of exciting and amazing things that God has done!!
Secret Agents of Christ, our Kids Discipleship Program, has been amazing!! Back in October, we talked about the Holy Spirit and how He is our helper. We also learned about being baptized in the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. That day, all of these kids felt God's presence, and three of them were baptised in the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues!! It was such an amazing thing to witness!! We've also been learning about evangelizing, which they are all excited to do!! We'll have our next evangelism day on January 7th!!
As I have mentioned on Facebook, I've been helping a specific family for the past two months now, mmmostly with these two boys, Brandon and Ricardo. They've both gone through a lot of abuse and neglect, and due to this, Ricardo has had a lot of trouble interacting with other kids and behaving in school and at home. I've been assisting Ricardo at school two times a week, with home visits three times a week, helping him do simple homework assignments and learn how to behave and interact with others. I've talked with their father and other family members quite a bit, too. I've been showing them through my example that God is the One who gives us the patience and love we need to get through every day and to help our children grow. Thankfully, Ricardo is getting a lot better with school and social interactions, but he still has a way to go. Please keep Ricardo, Brandon, their father who's name is also Ricardo, and their whole family in your prayers. Pray that they understand their need of Jesus and that God truly grants them with His supernatural love and patience.
